How does one force an iPhone to do its Safari browsing via a
defined WiFi network?
Should it show the WiFi logo instead of the 3G one when doing so?
Just trying to avoid as many traffic charges as possible :)
Cheers, Antony.

As far as I'm aware if you are connected to a WiFi it will show the
typical airport 'radar' type icon. All browsing will go through the
WiFi. If there is no WiFi it will connect via 3G.

Yes that's good. I've got it on my MacBook running VM FusionWare and
XP2. It always intrigues me how Windows virusware jumps in at start-up
time, takes over your computer, updates itself then says all is Ok.
I'm still not used to that as a long-time Mac user :-))

Hi Reg
thanks for the vote of confidence. I have downloaded, installed and
run the scan. It found 1 virus and some cookies. They are now history!
I also found a couple of other virus scan programs on a CNet download
site: Spyware Doctor and Antivirus Pro.
Are you familiar with these two

Hello Martin,
Your question:
networkicon coming up with this server is not available...what
does this mean
It means you are not 'finding' your ISP's Server therefore not
connecting to the Internet.
Likely to be an issue with your Network setup, or your Modem/Router,
or your ISP server
