I've been looking at the different carriers myself and I think what I'm going to do is to buy the phone outright and go onto Telstra pre-paid. The pre-paid options for Telstra are not outstanding value, but they're certainly not bad value either. That way I can get access to the NextG network,

iPhone not detected by iMac Intel
