the pram battery should have 3v or more, ask an electrician/ electronic guy for an instrument the power has to be disconnected for that testing, if it's an older computer just replace it in most cases it's a lithium battery James SAD Technic Video Productions, Electronic repairs U3 / 6 Chalkle

Good Morning Walter, It sounds like the device it not actually working, yet. Once you can see input levels in "Sound > Input" you can use any applicable software to capture and edit the incoming audio. So concentrate on getting the level meter to show input, the install process needs investigatin
