Hi Peter What discs are you using? DVD-R or DVD+R? The Mac's superdrives are DVD±R (so will do all, read and write). But if the laptop is only one type, then it may not read the other. (eg if you burn DVD-R and it only reads DVD+R). The original disc doesn't have some form of copy protection on i
