You are running OS X Mountain Lion are't you?
There is no iCal in Mountain Lion, it is Calendar.
Are you meaning 'Alerts' in Calendar?

On reading your reply again, I don't think you have paired your iPhone with the
FindMyCar device.

my powerbook G4. 1.67Ghz, 10.4.11 is going to sleep every couple of minutes for
