Hi, Stuart,
I bought a FreeLoader Pro Solar Charger for my son. Didn't use it myself, but I
was impressed with the excellent users' manual. This charger is made in the UK
(not China!). The cheapest price I found for it ($79.99) was on the ThinkGeek

Why 10.6 still? Have you zapped Pram? What does activity monitor tell you?
Have you dumped all the foreign language files and unneeded fonts?
Clean out the cache files and if necessary preferences

Apple on-line store now shows 3-4 weeks for delivery of 27 iMacs, and 7-10
business days for the 21.5 models.
3-4 weeks feels a lot better than January somehow!
Cheers

I had one of the new 27-inch iMacs CTO delivered last Thursday 3 Jan. 2013.
I am doing the Transfer and Setup from his old iMac running Snow Leopard to his
beautiful new 27-inch iMac Mountain Lion either later today or tomorrow
morning.
I don't want any thunderstorms to interrupt the Transfer

my whole problem was caused by MacKeeper, on overly expensive program that
is full of Malware itself!
BEWARE OF IT!
I still want to know if it's OK to dump MAIL from my Applications folder?

Hi Ken,
Technically, you can, but you shouldn't.
Reasons you shouldn't:
Apple will sometimes update the applications in minor OS upgrades. As the rest
of the application isn't there, you end up with only the files that were
changed.
What if you decide you need them in the future? You'll have
