Hi Severin
Did you also change the password in the outgoing setting in the Advanced
section?
(Ie follow Ronnis instructions below to get to Advanced and put the new
password in there as well. Probably about step 4a).
Kind regards

At long last I am thinking of upgrading from Lion to Mountain Lion.
Prior to doing that I would appreciate advice/comments from the group as well
as the following specific queries.
Is my current machine - 27inch late 2009 3.06GHz Intel core 2 Duo 12GB 1067MHz
DDR3 - suitable for an update?

Daniel, that was it. How sneaky to have the password in two places and the
possibility of a different one for incoming and outgoing - my mind is boggled.
Now to enjoy the rest of the blissful sunny day down here, everything is
working.

Glad that worked….
And yes it can be a bit confusing, but just to clarify there is a point to it.
For example…I collect a lot of different email accounts (i.e. have macwizardry,

Hi Barry,
The description of your iMac sounds exactly like mine.
I updated to 10.8.4 without many issues.
In fact, the only issue I have at the moment is with iPhoto.
I need to correspond further with Ronni to sort this out when I get back to my
desk.

Hi Ronni,
Thanks for your responses and apologies for not getting back to you
sooner, have been out enjoying myself this afternoon. In answer to a couple of
your questions:

Hi Ronni,
No, I can view the thumbnails, however I followed your advice and that didn't
change anything.
Then, I did a full database rebuild and still no resolution of the issue.
After updating to OS10.8.4 I can no longer view an individual photos within

Hi Ronni,
Unfortunately neither suggestion worked for me.
I mean, I followed the procedures but to no avail.
I'll respond to the discussions as well in case someone else has the same issue
with ML 10.8.4.
Thanks for suggestions.

Hi Marcus,
I'm not anywhere near a computer at the moment, I will be back home later today
and will have a look at my iPhoto'11 Library to see perhaps if I can understand
what your problem actually is, I'm not understanding what you are experiencing

Just a thought... You wouldn't have
