Upgrade to 10.8 Mountain Lion

At long last I am thinking of upgrading from Lion to Mountain Lion. Prior to doing that I would appreciate advice/comments from the group as well as the following specific queries. Is my current machine - 27inch late 2009 3.06GHz Intel core 2 Duo 12GB 1067MHz DDR3 - suitable for an update?
