Another way I forgot to mention to try is:
Control-Click on the image of the PDF - Save Linked file to Downloads
Also check you don't have AdobePDFViewer.plugin
Look for the file:
/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/AdobePDFViewer.plugin
and remove it.

Hello John,
I have not experienced your problem with Safari 7.0.4 in Mavericks.
Have you tried: File > Print - PDF > Save as PDF and File > Export as PDF
and File > Save As which brings up a window Export As: .pdf

Apparently it is out of beta when Australia Post did the mail out.
At the moment I will stick with my CBA NetBank - 'BPAY View' for receiving &
paying all my service bills.

and echoing some of my own instinctive worries and doubts. I see it still tav
beta stage so I will certainly do nothing for now. Dropbox is fine but does
