I've got probs opening Acrobat Distiller 5.0 -- it says it can't find
an extension named 'AGMLib'. I have 'AGMCarbonLib' installed but
Distiller is unwilling/unable to recognise it. Does anyone have the
'missing' ext; or can I simply change the filename of 'AGMCarbonLib'
in my exts folder; or

Would I be safe to assume that because my (secondhand) Titanium G3
Powerbook has a monitor socket, I can automatically hang a monitor
off it ? Or would I need to get an appropriate card fitted? How
would I know if one was already fitted (notwithstanding the obvious

Recently, my 21 Apple multi-scan has started doing weird stuff:
boots OK first thing in the morning, then starts to flash blue,
orange, then black for a while, then hiccups a few times and comes
good after about three minutes, with a ripple effect of pale grey
'waves' running down the screen

I've pumped memory from 5Mb to 8Mb but it still has a tendency to
fall over when uploading largish (+2Mb) attachments, and requires a
reboot, which is getting boring ...

As far as I am aware, there is a Mac hotline available to all Mac
users (not available to PC users) which is full of Macintosh support
people who deal with and are familiar with Macintosh
While opening a duplicate of a multi-layered Photoshop file and
flattening the image, I got this error message:
Disk error -36 while reading or writing virtual memory file.
Sorry, but this error is fatal
Pshop then quit spontaneously. Tried it all again, with the same
result. Never seen
A riddle:
I have a bronze keyboard Powerbook with a black plastic case. The
identification sticker on its derriere states that it is a
G4/6Gb/64Mb/video/DVD ... but I'm told by a retailer from whom I
negotiating to buy some RAM that: the only G4 PowerBooks are ALL
Titanium. The G3
Thanks to those who responded to my query about my powerbook, which
is evidently a G3 masquerading as a G4 ... I say masquerading because
the consensus seems to be that anything with a bronze keyboard and a
black plastic case HAS to be a G3/400 -- not a G4 as stated on the
label.

Y'all
I recently learned the hard way, that any version of ATM earlier than
4.6 is not compatible with OS9.1 ... however, the 'lite' packaged
version of 4.6 is of little use to me, cos I need to use and manage a
lot of fonts, and like to have more control than the lite version
offers. So to
do we all have anti-virus software?
do we all turn it off when doing new/updated software installations?
i cant help thinking that many of the 'bizarre' occurrences that have
been mentioned on the list lately are typical of those associated
with installing over the top of anti-virus software
the bill.
