Hi: I'm running an iMac at home on system 9.2 (connected up via ASDL
to iiNet). I've noticed that the memory allocation to the system
creeps up progressively with use until we get a message saying that
the finder is out of memory. Rebuilding the desktop and/or directory
with DiskWarrior resets

Superficially it seems to be better and a bit faster than 6.2.
However, I find I'm still often reverting to 4.9 as it allows actual
download of .pdf files instead of just displaying them onscreen
(maybe I just haven't figured out a way round that yet!)

A colleague is working on a lab manual with embedded graphics (Word
for Office 2001). These have suddenly become unreadable and all he
gets is the big red cross of doom. Tried increasing memory
allocation, rebuilding desktop etc etc. but no good. There have been
no obvious changes to the prefs.

My disappearing printer turned out to be due to an extension conflict
after upgrading from 9.1 to 9.2. Many thanks to Derek Ellerton for

"disappearing" from the USB port of an iMac. Tried re-booting,
