Of course, if you have a static IP, then just give them the IP address
and tell them to make an 'A' pointer to that IP address.
This normally costs nothing, I use AussieHQ for hosting and we don't pay
for modifying our DNS.

have been able to convert video files to DV using ffmpeg, download

DivX didn't really do what I wanted, so I found that a combination of
MactheRipper (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/
22715) and ffmpeg (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/
15473) did the trick for me.
