Hi Folks
An email from Telstra has me wondering if I need to get a new Apple
Watch?
I have a Series 4 (2018):
Many smart watches and wearables can operate in “standalone” mode. This
means you can make and receive calls or use data without having to
carry a smartphone

Hi Tim,
Depending on your confidence/hand steadiness you could always try replacing the
screen yourself!
I replaced the rear glass on my old iphone4 - but that was a $10 passive
component so I was quite happy to give it a punt and it turned out to be pretty
easy.
Obviously an Apple Watch
Look after your lovely Apple Watches folks.
My screen was smashed whilst using a whipper snipper. I guess a rock flicked
up.
Out of Apple Care it’s a $339 repair at the Apple Centre. ☹️
It’s back to my 40 year old Seiko for me whilst I have a bit of a think about
how useful the Apple Watch
Thought some might find this interesting if you’ve ever wondered how the Apple
Watch ejects water after it’s been swimming or gotten very wet,…
Well, now you can see it in slow motion,….

Hi folks, my wife is looking to get one of these. Detail below.
I am curious to know if I buy one from a private seller, what and how do I
check that it is unlocked and released from the clutches of the sellers Apple
account?
Any other tips appreciated.

Happy New Year folks. I am assuming some of you have an Apple Watch
(which ever revision you have maybe matters) but I arranged a Apple
Watch 5 for my 85yo Mum as a means of providing ready to hand

slowly getting used to
Thanks Daniel, I’ll work through both articles.

Hi Michael
As I don’t work for Apple, I can’t say.
Though I must say I don’t have an issue with mine. Mine is an Apple Watch
Series 1 and I find it lasts well over a day for me. I’ve had mine on all day
since 730am - used it for maps/navigation all day, replied to some texts on it,
got it to

As predicted, Apple released the following new items.
(And they even knew about it before the keynote as apparently someone uploaded
the xml file to the website too early, so it “leaked” before the event,….oops!).

Hello Michael
I suspect the Apple Watch does not have its own SIM card and connects via
Bluetooth to the phone to do stuff with the outside world. Much like connecting
your phone to the Bentley.
Therefore it will make no difference where in the world you are as long as the
phone and watch
I recently bought a series 3 Apple Watch (cellular + GPS). My mobile phone
contract is with Telstra. I intend travelling in NZ. Will I be able to link the
watch with my phone while roaming there?
Cheers,
Michael
