Hi Daniel,
If you still have the bluetooth hanging around - how much would it
cost to have installed ?
I had put it off, as I believe it is quite pricey.
Cheers

Hi Ronni,
Many thanks for the information, I have printed off the help
instructions from you and will go through them systematically later.
The odd thing is though, all of last week I could not connect to the
internet via the Mac Book, then on Saturday I had no problem and

I'm curious about an Intel Mac which does not have a wireless card. I
would have thought that all Intel Mac models have wireless cards.

Hi Susan
Yes, an Intel iMac should have a wireless card built in. The first Intel
iMac was iMac (Early 2006 17-inch), code name Yonah, and machine ID
iMac4,1.
They had built in Bluetooth and Airport.
One thing also with this issue, that you could check is that both the Router

Just doubled checked my Intel and there is no wireless card. I know
with Bluetooth, in the early models one had to request this.

Hi Julie
According to all the specs, you should have Airport for an Intel Model.

If you do want to confirm, just for interest sake, you can go to the Apple

System Profiler. On the first page
HI Daniel,
My intel appears not to have a wireless card built it. Also no
Bluetooth either - when I queried this point about the Bluetooth with
the retailer, I was told one had to specially request it. I have
since enquired to get one installed, unfortunately I cannot install it
Hi Daniel,
I had doubled checked the System Profiler to make sure I was correct -

just realised you perhaps think I have an iMac - I have a Mac Pro1, 1

It is disappointing I don't have Airport and Bluetooth, but guess I

Ar yes, the MacPro was a build to order Airport and Bluetooth adapters for
those models. It wasn't until later it was added as standard. (Though even
the current MacPro has Bluetooth as standard but Build To Order Airport as
additional.
I think I have a Bluetooth and Airport module for that

mind you downloading it for free.

Had an issue with connecting via Airport Express at my parent's place.
Situations was a router with ethernet cable to the Airport.
Turned out that the airport 'requires' the internet connection to be
present, but it starts up more quickly than the router.
Solution was to turn on the
Hi Jewels,
You are not having any trouble connecting to the Internet from your
Intel Mac (that does not have a wireless card) by Ethernet?
If that is the case, you have your Router setup correctly with your
ISP's settings.
Connecting by Wireless on your MacBook Pro is not connecting? So
Hi,
I recently bought a note book and connected up to the internet, using
my Intel Mac as the prime user and with airport attached to the
router. The intel is non-wireless.
I was initially successful for the first week, but now more often than
not, when I try to connect to the internet
