Hi Lloyd, Delete and empty the trash of any "U3 Cruzer Utilities for Mac" you used to remove U3 software from the SanDisk left on your Mac. Otherwise they can be a nuisance also. Unfortunately, I agree that a total clean install of Snow Leopard might be required. Your Snow Leopard Mac should n

Mission completed. Following the instructions as given below by Ronni I have removed the U3 files. Just to demonstrate how slow my s n o w Leopard is, when I inserted the Cruzer in my old Tiger Mac it appeared within 2 seconds as against 2 minutes on my Leopard. I think a re-install is on tonight!

I hear people say that Snow Leopard should be faster but since upgrading everything is v e r y slow. E.g. it takes 50 sec and up to 90 secs for a CD or a USB thumb drive to show up on the screen. My 250 gig ext hard drive takes more like 2 minutes to appear. Is there some way of speeding this up?
