i bought myself a liteon LDW 451S DVD+/-RW for $99 recently
it works fine in OSX for iDVD and toast.
(osX: it doesnt support disk burner (itunes) but it does in os9)

The LG one for around $160
(http://www.austin.net.au/shopping/components.asp?catid=88) may in fact
do all those things I believe, as I think I read somewhere apple uses
LGs in some models.
I use an LG Combo which works fine under OSX/BWG3 and I intend to
replace it with their DVD burner soon
