I have had the same problem in the past so will be interested in what turns up
from the gurus.

odd quirk remains. I have an Epson R2880 printer and after the move over I
duly downloaded the Snow Leopard driver which is different from

Mine's an Ethernet connected via a switchbox.
I thought it was a matter of making the printer directly connected via its

Hi ho,

I have two imacs and a G3 on an ethernet. The G3 was running 8.6 and the
imacs 9.2. The G3 was printing nicely to a Xerox USB printer. I installed

I've found my self in a tough spot with a recommendation I made
regarding the purchase of a laser printer, not helped by the fact
that they told me they had a G4 running OS X (get there and it's a G3
running 8.5.something) and decided to skimp and buy the printer
WITHOUT an ethernet card.

I was thinking of acquiring some sort of Ethernet hub to link all three
computers.
Does anyone know if you can buy such a thing and hang a USB printer off it?

My son just bought a Brother multifunction unit - B&W laser - Officeworks -
Mac and Windows software - works very well. - My own Brother HL1240 laser
has been going for years now. Over 10k pages so far and three replacement
cartridges. Cost of these has just plunged. Cheers, Paul
Hi...
My folks are after a printer, does anyone have any recommendations
based on recent experience?
I'm contemplating an HP... (No, not a multifunction model!)
I deally I'd like something with the head integrated into the ink
cartridge, as I'm sick of Epsons which clog up if you don't print
Hi all,
Does anyone know if you can share a USB printer over a ethernet
network as in OS 9 in OS X.
I am unable to find anything in the Kbase.
It was most useful in OS 9 - I hope there is a way in OS X.
Cheers
