Has anyone checked this out and how important is this, I have put my serial
number in and it is eligible.
The last thing I want to do is bring the iMac in for a hard drive replacement.
The words may fail is not encouraging.
Has anyone had experience and how long they would take.

I know of a few that have failed, including my own, so I guess Apple know of a
whole lot more.

Hello Rick. The Hard drive in my iMac started playing up about 1 month before
the Apple Revelation I took it in to Macworx up in Joondalup and they
replaced it on the spot! No charge for the replacement 'cos I was within
warranty, but for an extra few bucks they replaced it with a 2TB Samsung
