I know this will sound like sacrilege to some but is the a better photo
storing and managing application, including a browser, than iPhoto? I have
3500 photos stored on it already but some of its little quirks annoy me.

Well, some aspects annoy me too but...
One assumes iLife 06 will be with us sometime soon.
Nothing else will work with iMovie and iDVD as well...
If it is speed consider using iPhoto Buddy and/or use the
0, 1 and 2 shortcuts while in thumbnail mode to speed
up display (as they are the native
