Hi Eugene and Ronni, Unfortunately my menu item for display duplicates is permantly greyed out whilst get track names is sometimes greyed out. itunes V.10.5. Imac 2.93 with OSX 10.6.8 I have Apple store account etc. Any thoughts; other than I may be having a mere male day??? regards Darrel

Hi Darrel, with get track names you need to highlight the files first. Go to Music, just below Library, in the left hand column. Sort all the files by name. Locate the untitled files probably called track 01 etc. Click on the first and holding down the shift key click on the last in the list
