Thanks Carlo. I decided to revert and followed your instructions with no problems except step 3. I deleted both apps from iTunes and the iPhone, confirming both deletes. When I started step 3 to sync the iPhone minus Bento, up popped a message box saying that the iPhone had downloaded items

Hi again Pete, I should have mentioned. That message that you received when syncing implies that you either purchased or updated an app directly on your iPhone without a corresponding purchase or updated on iTunes. The updated app would have been transferred to iTunes. If Bento was correctly

Hi Pete, Well done in preserving the file! If the update to the iPhone app was free, you have a painless way to revert to the older version that you just recovered from Trash. It is easy enough so I will detail it here to give you the option. The file you recovered should have a .ipa
