I am really glad that the color episodes will be
released. For years they were on sporadically, until
TV Land ran them. TAGS definitely lost something after
Season 5. It went from perfection to highly enjoyable.
I guess my favorite color episode is "Dinner at
Eight," although I enjoy "Howard's Big
Re: The whole series is really about the town.
It really was. That's what Andy once said. He said that they mis-named the
show - it should have been called "Mayberry", because the town really was
the star.

I also like the episodes where Barney is singing love songs to Juanita at the
diner. And I have a question. Did Juanita ever actually appear in any
episodes? I don't remember ever having seen her.
Also, there's one particular episode that actually gave me nightmares when I
was a kid. Bu
Hey...I was wrong, Andy almost took a job in St. Paul, MN. My mistake. Has
anyone mentioned Chattanooga, home of that bum Tracy Crawford. I'm glad he
got extradited.

Sorry dudleyGL, but I'm pretty sure Luke Comstock's TV repair shops were in
Cleveland OH. Can somebody confirm that for me???Another place we
forgot to mention was New Orleans, Andy and Barney headed there in an old

I always read with envy about y'all's children quoting a line from TAGS.
I tried to raise my daughter right and when she was young, she was
well-versed in all things TAGS. But she's a grown woman now, married
with children of her own and I had just about given up. I throw out

Don't forget Greensboro, home of Lydia (who is not from ancient Greece). Also,

One of the funniest episodes, black & white or color, has to be the episode
where Andy invites Howard to join the lodge. When Goober runs in and flips
over the card tables.man, that's one of the funniest bits I've ever seen on

As many times as I have watched TAGS I always seem to come out with a new smile
on my face and a new lesson in my heart. I have heard Andy on many times say
his favorite episode is Opie the bird man. I know there were writers on that
show but his upbringing shows through on every episode he made
I just got word Season 6 of TAGS is due out on DVD May 9. It's the first
season in color and the first without Barney as a regular. It's also known as
"the Warren Season" and "the Hollywood Season." Here's what I got from the TV
