I want to tell you all, I received my first 5 dvd's of TAGS in today's mail.
Weaver's Dept. Store was a little behind in orders with the passing of our
beloved Don Knotts.they send a kind apology along with the order, and
they're a GREAT place to order from!
BUT!! The very first episode..
Normally I let small things on the show go. What I was wondering was is Gomer a
good mechanic or just a fuel jockey. I remember on Man in a Hurry he had no
idea what he was doing under a hood. Well I was watching season 4 today and it
was the episode where he stayed with Andy and everybody came
Hi Gang
Been awhile since I posted, so thought I would add a couple of notes.
Number one, a little trick when watching TAGS, especially if you get to
wondering about some of the wording, like central high or central ohio.
Just turn on the "close captioning" feature on your set and read it. A
It broke my heart to hear that our friend Jeff (Bighead in Dee-TROIT, O'Malley
says, "Nip It") Krentz has passed away leaving his wife and two children
behind.
Jeff was a favorite writer of mine and I loved it when he came up with a rhyme
or some kind of trivia question/situation that I could n
I, like many of you, am shocked to hear of the passing of Jeff Krentz
(a.k.a. BigHead in Dee-Troit). I am so sad to hear about this and my
thoughts and prayers go out to his family. I went back and found
that the last note he posted to the Digest was on 26 Feb 2006 referring
to his hearing abo
I am finding myself feeling sad when watching TAGS knowing that Mr. Knotts
is no longer with us. I know we are lucky to have him on the shows for us to
enjoy, but I am still sad when watching.
What do we do about this? Does anyone have any advice?
Thanks everyone,
Silvia

me and Laura Lee Hobbs began to remember those scenes that have not been shown

This is one scene I came up with:

Hey everybody. I read where someone was talking about a deleted Floyd
scene. That is a good line by Floyd. My favorite line from Floyd is
where Barney is running against Andy for sheriff and they are in the
barber shop and Floyd asks Barney if he's expecting to get any votes and
Barney says he w
I was shocked and saddened to read the post about the death of Jeff Krentz.
Though I never met him, I enjoyed his many posts on the digest through the
years and considered him a "Mayberry friend." It was especially sobering to
realize that he was a few months younger than I am.

Dear TAGS Friends,
Thank you for your messages about Mr. Knotts' passing. I had not thought of
it this way. This will help.
I just may get some cashew fudge like Barney and Thelma Lou did while
watching.
I wonder if there are towns like Mayberry left. I cannot think of any

I was sorry to read about Jeff Krentz's death. I always enjoyed his postings.
We communicated by email a few times, and as it turned out,we lived just a few
miles from each other here in the suburbs of Dee-troit. Rest in peace Jeff.

Where was she from in life? I heard she was to herself when doing the
show. Sure was a terrific actress in any case. I miss her and Barney.
I've been looking for my Mayberry all my life.

Thanks for clearing up my Central Ohio/Central High confusion. I have always
heard it as Central Ohio and it has baffled me for years. Now, if we can
clear up the Mayberry Union High and Central High. Maybe Barney started at a
different high school than Andy and then moved to Mayberry Union H
