I feel like with the number of new members we've gotten lately that it's
time to restate The Rules for everybody. You old-timers might want to
read through this just to refresh your memories and I think it's good
for all of us to try and remember these tried and true rules. Allan

For all of Earle Hagen's musical success with composing 'Harlem Nocturne',
receiving kudos for his work on 'I Spy' and his more complicated compositions,
he will always be remembered for a simple whistled 20 second piece- the
theme to TAGS. He even made Sousa tunes work in tune (for 'Gomer
Seems as though Allan got down there with them spiders and started workin'.
I got my rabbit's foot, rubbed a red headed man's head (or a boy would do), and
hope I don't draw out my hat size (6 and 7/8th) so I can keep receiving the
digest.

Sure signs that Bad Luck is a comin' your way:
* A bat flying into the house
* An owl hooting 3 times
* 3 butterflies together
* Hearing a rooster crow at night
* Getting out of bed left foot first
* A picture falling
You can reverse your bad luck by turning three times counter clockwise.
I knew a lady in our town who had the Fishin' Hole song played at her funeral
when her casket was carried out of the church. I'm sure she greeted Earle
Hagen with a whistle and a smile.

digests because, well let's face it, with no wbmutbb what would be the
point? I'm happy to see that the problem has been fixed and I'm getting
them once again. I was concerned because I thought my computer might

It is so wonderful to know so many people love and appreciate TAGS. It just
brings tears to my eyes all the wonderful memories the clever actors and
actresses brought to that show. Not to mention the writers and directors and
music makers. Thanks to all of them for making life so much

I wholeheartedly second this. Imagine how surprised I was to find the entire
septic tank speed omitted from Barney's First Car the other night!
You're a good son, Barney.
I try.
I remember hearing Mr. Griffith talk about that scene specifically and how much
he loved it.
A real shame.
As a huge Thin Lizzy fan, I can appreciate that re-write! Next time I do
that song with my cover band, I may just throw in a few of those lines!
Nice work. (and glad to see the digest working again) :-)
