I have several t-shirts that I purchased from Weaver's,and enjoy wearing them
on special occasions. I've always hoped that some day Weaver's would offer a
"Schwump" line.

"He's nicely mannered and he has his paw's prettiness".

Now this may seem like a trivial triviality, but was anyone besides me really
annoyed at the way Don kept talking with his mouth full when Andy went to pick
up Peggy? Hungry buzzard or not, that's just bad manners.

Last night I saw part of the movie "Anatomy of a Murder" on TV. It was made in
1959 and good ol' Floyd had a small part in it. He played a Dr. It was the
first thing I've seen him in that he played it "straight" & not comical.
Also,if I remember correctly, the old Lassie show had an operator name
Lydia,I was wondering if you'd like to go out riding in the car some evening.
Do you still get car sick? You can hang your head out the window like a dog if
you need to.

P.S. Leave Laura Lee Hobbs at home,OK?

I was watching the movie "The Wild One"with Marlon Brando and saw good old Ben
Weaver. Two of the motorcycle gang members were Alvy Moore (Hank Kimball on
green acres) and Jerry Paris (The Dick Van Dyke show). Here's a bit of trivia
about that movie...Brando & most of the rest of the gang were r
On wednesday nights I work with the youth group at my church, which is in
Sterling Heights,Michigan. Last night one of our teen aged girls, who lives in

Yesterday, we changed from being on an old septic

While watching the workers opening up the old tank,
filling it up, then covering the whole thing with
dirt, I was thinking of Barney and what a good son he
was when he bought his parents a new septic tank for

I was sorry to read about Jeff Krentz's death. I always enjoyed his postings.
We communicated by email a few times, and as it turned out,we lived just a few
miles from each other here in the suburbs of Dee-troit. Rest in peace Jeff.

I watched a biography of Paul Newman and in it they said that he is so good at
what he does, that he makes it look easy. I think the same could be said for Don
Knotts. He was one of the all time greats when it came to physical comedy, and
an outstanding actor as well.
If you remember "Captain Midnight" from the 50s (I was a mere child) Olan Soule
(a.k.a.John Masters) played a scientistyou know, one of the boys in the lab.
Funny that he would play a similar role on Dragnet. I guess he just looks like
a lab technition/choir director.
Dub Taylor was one of the great character actors in movies-mostly westerns. He
was on TAGS three times, unless I'm overlooking one,AND his son is Buck Taylor
who played Newly on Gunsmoke. Buck was also in the movie Tombstone.

I watched "My fair Ernest T. Bass" last night. When Mrs.
Wiley told Andy all the weird things Ernest T did, Andy
asked if anybody tried to stop him,to which she
replied "Well Mr. Schwump tried to pinch him" What a
hoot! Wouldn't you just love to see good old Mr. Schwump
trying to pinch Ern
