Spotted Ken Lynch this afternoon on Gunsmoke. He was a mean farmer who
wound up getting killed. Ken Lynch played Captain Barker in the second
episode of TAGS.I guess Ken Lynch has the distinction of being the first of
many lawman (outside of Andy and Barney) shown on TAGS.

While I was watching "Wagon Train" today on MeTV, I spotted a trio of TAGS
alumni in one episode. There were two old lady friends played by Miss
Rosemary and Henrietta Swanson. And then one of the children was played by
none other than by own boy Evan Hendricks.
Last night I was listening to an old time radio show, "The Great
Gildersleeve". It was the episode of 18 October 1942, where Gildersleeve is
first appointed to his job as Water Commissioner.

In 1939's "Another Thin Man," I saw our beloved producer, Sheldon Leonard,
in one of his screen roles. Also in the movie is our little fat mayor, Dick
Elliot, and Regis, without his sign, Doodles Weaver. On another note, an
uncredited role went to Shemp Howard, one of the 3 Stooges.

question. You all even got a couple that I did not catch, but I knew that

I saw on Star Trek last night, Pamelyn Ferdin, in the episode "And the Children

I issued myself a challenge today to find at least one TAGS alumni in the first
show I watched on TV today. So I thought to myself, I will make it a really
hard test, so I selected a movie from 1941 called "Look Who's Laughing" on TCM
starring several old radio stars, Edgar
Lately Howard Sprague has been all over the tube. He was a clergyman with a
young daughter on Maude the other night. Then on the newly-released DVDs of
season 3 of Mama's Family, he was the train depot clerk/janitor. I didn't
recall seeing him in any roles other than Potsy's father on Happy Days
Saw 3 alumni tonight in 3 shows on MeTV. Denver Pyle showed up on The
Rifleman, Alan Hale was on Perry Mason and The Untouchables besides
Gilligan's Island, and Parley Baer also was on Perry Mason.

I saw Lurleen Tuttle (Annabelle Silby//Little Old Lady Shoplifter) in an old
black & white B movie titled "Ma Barker's Killer Brood". Tuttle played Ma
Barker in this movie that was chock-a-block with cheesy acting, even worse
dialogue, but also with lots of exciting guns a'blazing action. Tutt

for newborns, toddlers, etc.
I was holding one of our twins and she was watching it near bedtime. All of a

The other day I saw on an Animaniacs cartoon episode (HUB channel), an animated
depiction of one of Mayberry's own leading citizens!The Animaniacs in "Boot
Camping" end up in boot camp instead of summer camp. Wakko is at the barber
shop and while in the chair, pulls all these stunts and gags on

episode of the original series. His daughter, Sport, was played by Mary

I just saw Anita Courset on an episode of "Bonanza" on TVLand where she played
the daughter of an orthodox jew. She showed quite a range of talent and
emotions in the role.
She also had her hair down rather long which was quite becoming on her.

movies I enjoyed when I was his age. The other day we watched Airplane! (1980)

Over the weekend, my family rented a DVD at the local video store, one called
"Deep In The Heart".It is a heartwarming family story that I can recommend
to everyone on this site. But any hoo, at the start of the movie our hero is
nothing but a mean drunk, beating his wife and kids and losi
Karl Swensen was on Leave It To Beaver today. So that means that Mr. McBeevee
is Eddie Haskell's father! Holy cow.

Must've been William Holden night on TCM recently as several of his films
were shown. In one, Opie's school principal and Erma Bishop were entertining
Mr. Holden at tea and in another one, Mayberry's grocer who married Miss
Rose, was having a conversation with him at a picnic, I believe it was.
