I've seen or heard at least 4 interviews with Ron and Clint over the past
couple weeks, while they are out promoting their new book about growing up
in Hollywood. Although the book sounds like it's well worth reading, and
the stories the brothers told were funny and interesting, I wa
I recently saw Ron Howard in an episode of Daniel Boone. He portrayed a mean

who was rude and callous and lacking in manners.Just another side of the actor.
An episode of Bonanza immediately followed with Clint Howard. He was about the

One other character I'd thought of whose brother we see is Arnold Bailey's
younger brother. When Arnold and Opie are trying to take care of the foundling
baby, Arnold mentions observing his mother care for his baby brother.
One other possibility is in the episode where Opie and Billy are compet
Well Ken, the baby twins in Stranger in Town are never actually seen, so they

I'm thinking of at least four more residents of Mayberry whose brothers are

As Ken pointed out, Charlene calls one of her brothers Other (pronounced with a
long O), however he isn't a fifth brother, it's apparently a nickname for Dean.
She also calls Doug "Jebbin" in that episode.

Good job so far on the trivia. You folks even named a couple that I hadn't
thought of.
To review, the question is: name someone who lives in Mayberry County whose
brother is seen onscreen in at least one episode if TAGS. So far we have the

Otis Campbell; Rodney, Doug, Dean, Mitch,
First we have the Darling boy who were brothers to each other and to
Charlene. Then Bill Matthews was Lucy Matthew's brother in "Stranger in

How about these for brothers?
Of course there are all the Darling brothers who we see quite often.
There are brothers Billy, Ike, and Junior Gordon.
And of course we have the real life brothers, Opie and Leon.
