Has anyone realized that anyone living in the Mayberry area that gets
arrested takes their 'time' without too much of an argument or trying to
escape. Of course Aunt Bee's food is an incentive to stay. The out
of towners always try to escape what they think is a crackerjack lockup but

Barney is the most obvious one since he jailed himself in the "Citizen's
Arrest" episode. Otis was jailed many times. I'd say Allan Melvin but I suppose
you mean characters and not actors. Aunt Bee, Opie, Mayor Pike, they were all
jailed by Barney and appeared in more than one episode. That is a
Maybe Andy meant for Warren to take the prisoners in the back door to the
jail, thus missing the honored guests, etc
