Holland - it all depends on what you want. There are a lot more people coming
in early to avoid the crowds than there used to be, but you have the advantage
of being an hour away and enjoying Mount Airy

I lived in Mount Airy from 1964 to 1972 and at that time, there was no
'Mayberry' themed influence in the town at all. The Snappy Lunch was
there, of course, but it was not well-known that it had been mentioned
in the
Wow. The Manicurist is coming to Mayberry Days! Yippee!!! They don't mention if
she will be the topic at Prof. Brower's Mayberry 101 but I sure do hope so!
