Now that this thread has sort of died down, here are the other answers I had
thought of:
In The Battle of Mayberry, shooting deer is mentioned.
In Ellie for Council, Opie and Aunt Bee hunt gophers.
In The Manicurist, Mayor Pike says he went rabbit hunting and shot three.
Barney says he

Two belated hunting remarks: When Luke Comstock presents Andy with a very nice
rifle, Andy says,”That ought to bring down them Northern Honkers.”
Apparently Andy hopes to hunt some big geese.
Why has no one remarked on
Ernest T. Bass going off
Well Andy said he went frog gigging with the state inspector so I guess frog
hunting would count, and in the first episode, Opies bird Dickie got loose
so I would assume all including Aunt Bee were hunting for him.

There was a mouse trap in the old freezer on the Taylors' porch ( Call
the man!)
Opie shot the bird with the sling shot but not sure if that qualifies as
hunting.
Opie hunted for Mr Frisbee's rooster when they were ready to bulldoze
his house.
On another note, we watched an episode
Seems like Dud Wash and Hasty Burford went fox hunting. They were
always hitting one another in the arm, yelling "flinch".

Nice job coming up with various birds and animals hunted by folks in Mayberry.
Remember, hunting does not necessarily include shooting, it can include
trapping, or simply searching for an animal with no intention of killing or
even capturing it.
I'm not certain if shooting at crows and
Barney trapped a Lake Loon. Well kinda...

Barney and Gomer were hunting when they got lost while on the camping

Here is a new trivia question for your potential amusement: name an animal that
folks from Mayberry are known to hunt.
Shooting, trapping, or even snatching with bare hands all qualify as hunting.
Fishing does not count, we've already covered that topic.
To be considered correct, you
The Darling boys must have been out hunting when they bagged the hoot owl -
even though their sorry cooking ruined it. Also Opie mentioned to Miss
Ellie that Andy thought she was husband hunting, but she corrected him by
saying she was actually hunting a baboon. Opie and Aunt Bee did a lot of

Does anyone remember anything besides crows and bears being hunted in Mayberry?
I thought there might have been more mention of this but have drawn a complete
blank.
Also, are there any turkey hunters on here that would be interested in working

According to the article, the park opened in Spring

I assume you are speaking of the Mayberry Cafe in Danville Indiana. It is on

Mayberry squad car parked directly in front of the cafe. In my mind it is THE
