Has anyone seen the Perdue commercial where it states they put oregano in the
drinking
water for their chickens?Silly me...I thought it was only for spaghetti.

As I was making homemade spaghetti sauce, for the first time in my life,
last week, I tasted it and knew something was missing. It didn't take me
long to realize it was probably oregano. Sure nuff, I added it and it

quite sure the reporter would not have understood the meaning behind my

So if any of you have chickens and want to keep them happy and healthy
I thought I would share some of the interesting things that makes Oregano
such a "secret ingredient" in spaghetti.
Oregano means Joy of The Mountain in Ancient Greek. ( Wonder if that was
Lydia's mother's maiden name.)
