Ken, I have a soft spot in my heart for military veterans as all my
family served, principally my father in the Marine Corps for 30 years
and my beloved in the Navy for 20 years. Your experience with that
lovely man and his reaction to being pinned and made an honorary

Just finished watching the Sand Pebbles and was surprised at the number of
TAGS alum!
Of course Gavin McCloud was an obvious stand out, but I also spotted Barney
Phillips [Eddie Brooke] (though I didn't know his name until I looked him
up.)

We had a wonderful experience giving my Mayberry presentation to a group of
veterans at an area Veterans Home in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. It was an
honor to go around and visit individually with each veteran in attendance
and to be able to shake their hands and thank them for their service and
I know we have lots of veterans who watch TAGS...so I am hoping I can
contact some who served on Midway Island...or any former residents. Reunion
planned for next year in Glasgow KY so if there are any interested, Contact

I have been asked to be a part of a Motorcycle/Classic Car Cruise on June
29. We will be raising money for our Trinity Equine Center which is an
organization here in Eau Claire that provides free counseling services,
through the use of horses, for our returning veterans. We will be

I enjoy watching Season 2 of Gomer Pyle when I have a little time to spare.
This week I saw a good Episode with Gomer endearing himself to a General's
little girl with his child-like qualities. It featured TAGS veterans Amzie
Strickland (Miss Rosemary & Home-buyer) as the girl
Happy Veterans Day to all of you out there who defend our country and uphold

Well, here's all I can think of including both veterans both with

join was so rudely rejected. Andy named off some of the Mayberry veterans
when getting Barney to give up his motorcycle, and I can't recall the names
right now. I think there were the Milo boys on that list. That's all I can
think of f
