We had it the other way 'round here - I gave in bought a PC only when we
had a long term contract with the BBC three years ago, were given a pile
of 3D applications to evaluate as part of it. BBC's production side were
looking at moving into the 21st century... ie virtual reality programme

No, I didn't take lack of support for NN 4.7 as any sort of slight. One couldn't
spend much time here without knowing the perils for the developer trying to
support that browser. I actually brought it up because someone else mentioned a
message and I didn't get one. I thought I had
To check for javascript settings go to Edit, Preferences, Advanced.
FWIW in NN 4.x you must have javascript enabled or stylesheets will not
work. It uses javascript to interpret stylesheets.
