Excuse my ignorance, but what is WinVNC? (i.e. No I haven't. ;-) )

With CD distribution you do have the luxury of allowing a certain bloat to
your code as you don't have to worry about download times etc. so in that
regard you might as well just hard code your breadcrumbs. This of course
does make updating a nightmare especially if your CD-based site is

Hi Drew,
I changed that page and the index.htm page. When I right click on the
page I can view the new code I put in but the changes don't show up. If
you look at the menu part of it (where the old designer did the rollover
menus) I changed the size of the second and last tabs to 160 and 90

I have changed both and still see no difference. I tried the rename but
with no luck either. The only thing I can figure is that the page opens
to something and redirects right away to what we see as the home page .

One option I do have is to write to the original designer - at the risk of
looking like I don't know what I am doing
I think the hard-coded approach is most appropriate. You don't need dynamic
breadcrumbs; in fact, you don't want them. They are principally a means to
offer the user a pointer to where they are in the site and should basically
consist of the shortest path from the home page to the current page.
Thanks Jan. I will check it out.

Hi Drew,
The widths have been changed in the code. That is what is so
frustrating. If you right click on the home page you can see the code
has been altered to allow the different widths of the new tabs. The
code is:
tr
tda href=http://www.goldtech2000.com/goldtech/index.html;
Thanks!

Hi all,
I got so frustrated that I uploaded all the files all over again - and
it worked. I guess I got confused with so many different directories,
each with copies of the tabs and each with its own index.htm files that
I must've missed something somewhere. Thanks to all who helped.

I have a form also on my website that requires the user to check the

it tells the user, etc., etc. In all the time I've had that form, no
spider has checked it. Now, I know that about a year ago, I was not too

Thanks Jan. :-)
