I didn't know we were related. I spent 15 hours over the holidays fixing my
father-in-law's computer 4 separate blaster infection and 7 other viruses.
While my brother gave up on cleaning my father's system and bought him a new

We had thought of the time zone thing - we will double check it to make
sure it is correct. I was the one who installed xp and set the machine up
for him so who knows - I space out regularly so...

Sounds like you should tell him NEVER to hit the OK option, tell him to use
CANCEL
(serious, that is the usual "mystery" cause of unwanted system changes, lol)
Second: Is he using, have downloaded a time check server set to the wrong
tz?

Summer Time (here in GB) comes in. (Daylight Saving for you!)
Maybe it's set to a time Zone one hour ahead of where he is?
