Ok, now I have it installed. The error message has gone.
Maybe the module "python-ldap" should be notified in the book (5th edition?)
I have found the module "python-ldap" in

Did you installed ldap module?
on debian systems it is
sudo apt-get install python-ldap
or
sudo pip install ldap

Now I am trying LDAP:
I run web2py 2.3.2 from source on a windows machine.
Trying ldap:
from gluon.contrib.login_methods.ldap_auth import ldap_auth
I get:
