Florian mentioned that we are using the apache worker, if i am remembering
correctly that is the threaded version of apache.
My question is this could it be that apahce is spawning too many threads?

It gets updated from Pootle. Therefore I would not dare to change
anything directly in the
php-file because I would think it might get overwritten the next time
strings gets pulle
