I think the point that is being made is that we are doing it the wrong way
around. That by switching it around so that the download starts first and THEN
the donate page appears seems to be generating more donations.

I think that small triangular button makes the logo confusing. Could the whole
of the colour section at the top, that looks a bit like the logo's 'header', be
used as the button?

Wow!! The download speed is very low! A LOT of people must be downloading it
from just 1 or 2 sites? Is it possible to get the website team to mirror it
around the world? Is there a bit-torrent for it?
