I would like to have the plots of the wind direction not displayed in
degrees, but in the direction of the compass.
I haven't found anything where I could change that. But I've already seen
skins that can do that.

You need to replace the weewxd.py file with the newer one for the
loop_on_init switch to work. There's a bug in the previous versions.

@Jacques: I now added your extension to the configuration. The calculated
values will be stored to the database. After some time I will publish the
readings here.
