Yes, but we have seen instances where people have installed both ways and
are only running one currently.
Matthew reminded me a while back that the only way to know which one is
'running' is to look for the pathname of the weewxd that is currently
running. I'd do it by looking with the 'ps'
Also you can look at installed packages.
apt search weewx or apt list --installed | grep weewx
rpm -qa | grep weewx
