As far as I know a normal level up forces a unit type change, yes. The AMLA
level up allows choices to be made, which is what I want.
I am sure this is a hard-code issue and not just this instance. It is
probably the result of not expecting

Can units even obtain a new unit type trough AMLA? Not as far as I know. I
thought the definition of AMLA was that it was a levelup, after the unit had
reached it's maximum unit type in the tree. For example: For horsemen that go
lancer it is

Units can obtain a new unit type through AMLA. The default era units don't,
but the WML is there for UMC to do so. In my Evolve Era, leveling up
through AMLA is a huge aspect. You get new abilities, attacks, unit types,
etc. through AMLA

Why use an AMLA levelup for that? Isn't it simpler to use a normal levelup?
Or is the problem that a normal levelup forces a unit type change?
