Reading the forums it seems like we've got a problem in this area. There are
quite a few contributions of which some are even good. While the talent and
skill of Aleksi and TimothyP are not in any doubt, the fact that they seem to
have little time is somewhat blocking in this field.
My idea
I would definitely be interested. It should be noted, however, that I'm
not exactly a music professor. I have no formal training and I'm very
much a novice when it comes to orchestral music. Thus I will probably
not be able to give contributors as in-depth and technical feedback as
guys like

I've written a new piece of music which will hopefully fill a need for
you campaign designers. It's meant to be played during sad, somber
dialogue. I'm releasing it under the GPL for use in Wesnoth, so feel
free to use it wherever you like. (You may also include it in the main
