On the client wiki, we are tracking which page uses which data item, by
inserting rows into the wbc_entity_usage table. On the repo, we do similar
tracking of which data item links to which client page (wb_items_per_site),
which labels, aliases and descriptions are

@ori: simply be cause there is currently no mechanism (as far as I know) for
extensions to provide deferred updated. Only some specific hard-coded updates
are deferred, and everything else is executed right away.
DataUpdate itself could somehow indicate whether it
ori added a comment.
@daniel Can you explain why this work needs to be done synchronously, blocking
the user?

The original problem was that it did choke on the redirect from http to https
instead of following it. Which is probably OK for this use case.
Using https URLs will work for all Wikimedia wikis. I heard this had the effect
that the links in the sidebar would also

get around the serialization update if you rely on global state. But if you do

now when running jobs in my client (after removing a site link), i get:

The idea of localized units is great, however I wonder about the following
things. Let's say we express quantities in all kinds of different units, so if
we have a property for the area of the country, one country would have it in
square meters, another in square

@JanZerebecki right, so we need to figure out how to efficiently represent
this, because indexes can not work with values expressed in different units.
Right now the engine assumes all the quantities are homogeneous, but if they
are not, how one would compare them?
