@Ladsgroup That joins is indeed problematic. But it's only used to detect "new" properties, which do not yet have an entry in wb_property_info. It's triggered when --rebuid-all is set to false (the default). There are several options:

I stand by my decision to have this be opt-out for new users. The whole goal of this is to help new people understand that they should connect their articles to Wikidata items and that they understand that Wikidata holds data about the topic they were writing about.

I don't "know", but I had the idea to look into #oojs-ui, use one of their multi-select widgets, and wrap that in a minimal jQueryUI boilerplate, so we can use it with our current code base.

If I set my language to German, I get German messages, and if I set it to French, the messages look pretty French to me. In Portuguese, I get the English ones – but I think that’s just because there aren’t any Portuguese translations for violation messages ye
