As some of you may have heard Demarc Technology Group, Inc, after 10 years of
serving the WISP community, has decided to closes its offices. While Demarc is
going out of the hardware business, I have some pretty cool projects in the
works and will report back when we are ready :) In the mean ti

Yes/no. My solution is a Mikrotik Script that requires a MT router to
be put in place. It will work on a bridged MT, so we can certainly make
this work. I w

The description I get is that it is meant to be an indoor soho router

Not true. Only someone with extensive experience with QOS applications
can build a GOOD application.

Anyone can build this to your needs as well. We don't sell a "canned"
solution. I am sure Butches solution works great though. WE build one
to your QoS to your needs and requirements. ;) It can take less than
1/2 hour, or several hours depending on how involved you need it.

Mikrotik and Butch's QOS template is better but the same out of the box
solution for less.
You can do your own QOS configuration with Mikrotik, too. The template is
only $175 so it depends on how much your time is worth.

I would not compare Ruckus to Ubiquiti and Engenius. That is like comparing a
Bobcat to a full blown Cat bulldozer. Sure they are considered mobile
construction equipment to move large piles of heavy scraps but they serve
completely different applications.
It is better to compare Ruckus to
Ruckus is way more expensive then Engenius or Ubiquiti. I think the
cheapest thing they have is ~$300. Gets pretty steep.

What do you mean by a Ruckus box? Their APs go from a couple hundred up to
nearly 1k depending on the model. The controller starts just over 1k and goes
up to over 20k.
