Hi Brad,
If the access points are still available the University of Wyoming can give
them a good home and a few more years of life. We'd gladly pay shipping.
If they are and you are willing to shoot me an email directly I'd be glad to
discuss the details with you offline.

University of Wyoming began to offer comprehensive wireless coverage in all
University residences beginning last school year. We have offered wired access
for many years. We have not had new classes of issues as a result of this

University of Wyoming is also running 6.5.4.0 and ran into bug 162521. We
worked with TAC and have a workaround in place. Except for that it has been
good and it allowed us to bring up some 360 series waps.

We ran into the SOS Assert crash too and the workaround was to disable Deep
Packet Inspection. Since then we've been stable.

The University of Wyoming is looking at expanding the wireless services at our
stadium and arena to cover fans. Today access is limited and focused on

Specifically:
1. What's the size of your deployment (waps, controllers, users, etc)
2. Are you completely Ruckus or do you have a mix of WLAN vendors
3. Did you transition to Ruckus from another vendor or w

We're using NanoBeamAC units for point to point links and are very happy with
them. We've used them for parking lots, ball fields and have a point to multi
point setup (9 points, 2 sectors) at our Research and Extension Center with an

Jason,
We did this too and used the same approach as Randy, an ssid dedicated to the
Apple store along with a subnet. We also turned off bcmc-optimization on the
vlan interface and built an Apple store role that looks a lot like our wireless

We use Solarwinds NCM in a mixed environment that includes Juniper. Works well
and integrates with other products they sell.
