No matter what direction I come at it, “eduroam” is fundamentally a guest
network with very little intrinsic value, but with many downsides. As such, I
would be reluctant to make it our default SSID, and I caution those that use it
as such to explore its shortcomings.

I agree on what your purpose is to separate Eduroam an IllinoisNet SSID.
We are planning to distinguish our internal users from guests within the
EduRoam SSID
using the programming capabilities of Radiator Raduis. That way we don't
need
