For application serving, I'm very pleased with Redhat9, Witango5,
Apache2, MySQL 3.23 on a new Dell box. Very cost-effective and robust.
Much easier (in my opinion) to configure than MacOS. Redhat Network
updates are regular and easy to install.
And for file serving, we have

going to use IIS. I think IIS can only handle 10 users max in

All software products get phased out eventually, but 2 years is not a short
period of time.
According to the Windows Product Lifecycle, the free patches and updates are
still supported until March 31 2005
