Yes, they should be installed with Votive but they're currently not. Bob has

Justin or Bob would have to answer that question - I'm not sure what Votive
installs these days :)

The OP is using ALLUSERS=1 so that would make the problem worse, not
better (modifying HKCU in ALLUSERS would mean that
I downloaded the 2.0.4421.0 binaries and retrieved the pubca.wixlib &

The install generated the MSI.
Thanks Derek. BTW. Should the wixlib & dll have been installed with the
Votive install?

Have not delved into ICE validation yet ... see a
little too much bantering back and forth about what is "passing ICE

Greetings all,
We need for doing minor upgrades of our software product on servers, that
is _not acceptably_ to reboot.
Some of upgrades affect on running windows services, but Windows Installer
does not show FilesInUse dialog for this, instead show "Please reboot" at
final of installation.

You need to include the PubCA compiler extension on the command line.
Here is an example:
candle queues.wxs -ext
Microsoft.Tools.WindowsInstallerXml.PcaCompiler,pcaext
When you link it you also need to include pubca.wixlib:
light queues.wixobj "%WIX
You need to pass in the pubca extension. For v2, it should look something
like this:
-ext "assembly, class" (or maybe its "class, assembly" - I don't remember -
it was always too verbose for me :)
(I'm not sure of the specifics for pubca unfortunately - perhaps a fellow
dev can help out here).

wix install\crawford.risktech.interfaces.wxs"
"d:\development\vs2003\services\rti\risktechinterfaces\risktech interfaces
wix install\crawford.risktech.class.lib
You're seeing problems with the extensions because we use xsd and it does
not have a mechanism for plugging one schema into another in the way that we
need it to.
For example, there is a way to say in xsd that the Component element
contains a child of MessageQueue, however, this can only be done b
