Even though your advice and comments to Dong are 100% correct I'm still
going easy on him. I've had many frustrating days with Windows
Installer/WiX. I would say that these are most surely issues with Windows
Installer's complexity and not WiX - however WiX's tendency to assume that
around attribute values aren't typos/courtesy
of her mail client, then they might be the problem. I'd trim them.

Is it possible to call a function of a C#-dll with a custom action? How
does it work? Or is it only possible to call C++ - dll's
I added following to my wxs but with the installation I get an error
that the dll wasn't found - that doesn't change when

worked well but the other day I got this error - although I didn't make
a shutdown in between.

about UI that uses the stock Mondo set, and that has a feature tree
built in. If you want to tweak it, you can just use the source for the
stock dialog as a basis for a new version.
This should be how a major upgrade works, especially if you position the
removal logic in the right place. I have this in my wxs:

for it. The trick is, I'd like to be able to have a package that will
upgrade within the same file version. If I change only the package code

Im trying to put a check box on my license agreement
dialog using the following:
Control Id=AgreeCheckBox Type=CheckBox
Text={\DlgFont8}I amp;accept the terms in the License Agreement
X=5 Y=207 Width=250 Height=15 Property=LicenceAccepted CheckBoxValue=1/
Where the property is
figured it out
I just needed to add another Directory definition under INSTALLDIR.
I really like WiX, it's really easy to piece together an installer
exactly how I like it.

in specific directories under INSTALLDIR (i.e. the user
cannot choose their location). Is this possible? If so, how do I go
about doing it?
