If you look at the site, you will see that i have already done that. I was
asking about a way to get IE on MAC and safari to work like firefox and co.
Thanks anyway.

Hi there.
We have recently launched http://verkehrsanwaelte.de .
I've tested in several pc - browsers and on mac in IE and Safari. The
problem in both is the lack support of min-height.
I need the #container div to stretch on short sites to the bottom of the
browser window. Anybody got an idea,
is
all ok.
I've tested for some hours now different things in the stylesheets:
If i float the address element left, then the linktext will stay on
mouseover.
I do not want to change the html. Is there a good method to apply a
stylesheet ONLY to safari?
Thanks
Mat
px by default but in many designs.

be IE, which I try to find out
via server-side scripting. So, Opera might get it as well but no harm is done as only
IE parses it. On the other hand, I save a little bandwidth (I know, very little...)
Hav fun with it!

ay. I have to say: If your site looks good in Firefox AND validates, Opera won't choke at all. Thinking of it, I don't know any major flaw in Operas way of interptreting CSS 2.0. Besides, as IE keeps me away from the more sophisticated things, Opera is no problem at all.
Regar
a "NoIE stylesheet"-relation. Unclean coding, I'd say.

problem if you specify width and height of the td as well. Theoretically, there should be no limitations.

The problem with the CSS sprites solution that Matthias posted is that it will ALLWAYS cause IE6 to flicker.
Hmm. I tested it and it didn't flicker. And, after all, it is just the pixy-solution taken to a higher level.

a whole set of navigational elements. All you need is a identifier (id, class or may the correct parse tree) as a hook for the positioned image. Impressive technique!
